Our Mission
At V i Safety we know one thing for sure, the more you know the safer you are. But with a crime occurring every five seconds in the UK, staying safe has never been more challenging.
Crime today is smarter and harder to spot, the tactics are constantly evolving. For many, knowing who to trust or what to click can feel like navigating a minefield.
Criminals thrive on confusion and hesitation, using sophisticated methods to exploit everyday situations. A friendly voice on the phone or an innocent-looking text can quickly turn into a costly mistake. At V i Safety, we’re here to equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence to stay one step ahead and avoid becoming the next victim. Founded by Andrew Palmer, a passionate advocate with over a decade of experience in the sight loss sector and lived life experience. V i Safety is a ground-breaking safety start-up designed to help people with a visual impairment stay safe, confident, and in control.
Our mission is to turn fear into freedom and isolation into empowerment.
At V i Safety, we deliver impactful face-to-face and online programs like our flagship Living Safely with Sight Loss course and our dynamic, age specific Streetwise Safety Course for young people aged 16–25. These programs offer practical, real world strategies tailored to the needs and challenges of blind and partially sighted individuals.
We also help people discover the best accessible tools, apps, services, and safety accessories on the market, available for individuals, organisations, and societies at both retail and wholesale levels.
Our reach continues to grow, with powerful partnerships and a presence at major exhibitions and events, including our own Safe CON, the UK’s Premier Vision Impairment Safety Conference. This hybrid event connects in person and online audiences with expert speakers, product demos, and live experience stories from the community.
We proudly sponsor Sight Village exhibitions, and we offer Visual Awareness Training to local authorities, schools, and businesses, always delivered by people with real experience of living with Sight loss.
At the heart of it all is our V i Safety Academy a thriving community where visually impaired people come together to share stories, strategies, and solutions. Because when we connect, we protect.
